I visited the local Goodwill and thrift shops to find children's games today. After several months of thinking it over, I decide to build a collection of games that my kids can check out from the library. It's still in the baby stages but I have a plan.
Plan goes like this:
1. Find games
2. Illustrate or Photograph pieces, putting them in labeled bags so that there's not an excess of missing pieces as the games go home with the kids
3. Write illustrated, kid-friendly directions
See? Simple!
So today I picked up a few Clue Jr.'s, Museum Caper Clue (how awesome is that?!), chess, Jenga, dominos (Dora themed), Mastermind (never played it), and Chutes and Ladders. So exciting!

Do you still have the games we purchased when I did the ESL Literacy Game night with Ellen Douglas and the reading teacher at the time?
